Black Swan's story was birthed from frustration. Like many millennials, we grew tired of cheap experiences and underwhelming, cookie-cutter accommodations. As avid travelers, we knew that the notion of dissociating traveling for work and traveling for pleasure was swiftly fading into the past. Believing there could be a better and more interactive way for people to experience their travel dwellings, our team set out to make simple changes: cultivate a comfortably familiar yet remarkable and exclusive stay, and blend it with local experiences, culture, and intrigue.

Before the 18th century, it was a typical Western belief that all swans were white. All encounters with the creature to that date had only been with the light-hued bird. In 1697, while navigating the newly discovered continent of Australia, the Dutch explorer Willem de Vlamingh discovered black swans. This finding was seen as a great surprise to the ecological community, resulting in profound changes in the scientific history of ecology and zoology.
